Since the weather in September was awesome we decided to go hike around Silver Lake (near brighton ski resort). It was perfect time to see the changing leaves. We had been going on daily walks with Maylee every since we brought her home and the neighborhood was getting a little boring. Maylee does pretty good on walks, she rarely cries and loves her stroller. Sitting on the lift at Brighton Ski Resort.
As many of you may have known we decided to move into Steve's parents basement to try to save some money since I wasn't going to work anymore. We moved there at the beginning of August. That month wasn't too bad since we were both just working and stuff and weren't there very often. After Maylee was born though it was a different story. It just wasn't the same as being on our own. We have both been living on our own for such a long time and not having your own kitchen and stuff really sucks. Plus Steve had to make sure he was always wearing clothes, and if you know him you know it was a pretty big chore. Well anyways, after 2 months of living there, moving all of out stuff either in the basement or in storage, selling all our furniture, and giving up our apt. at the University married student housing we decided to move out. The decision was made on Tuesday night, Steve called the apartments where we lived before Wednesday morning, they luckily had an opening and we were moved in on Saturday of the same week. Although we will miss our Sunday school class in Steve's parents ward, (since Steve's dad is bishop they didn't waste any time giving us a calling) having a place of your own is a pretty cool thing, even though there is no carpet and only 480 square feet with two bikes in the kitchen. We love it!
Maylee's first night home was a little overwhelming but also very fun. Everyone came over to see her and hold her, and her cousins were able to meet her. Since Maylee is their first cousin on the the Mathis side they were very excited. One thing that was scary other new parants can attest to was that driving away form the hospital with Maylee in that back seat felt like driving a new car off the lot. Steve was way nervous. I don't think that Maylee remembered anything form that night, and all that mom remembered is that there was way too much excitement for a brand new baby and after being exhausted form giving birth a day earlier. But we had lots of fun showing her to everyone and were glad everyone came over to see her.
After 9 months of pregnancy our baby finally came. She was born Thursday morning (3a.m.) on September 9th. She weighed 7 pounds 14 oz and was 18.5 inches long. She was a very healthy baby. We only had to stay in the hospital about a day and a half and came home Saturday afternoon. She has been with us about 2 months now and has been lots of fun. Hopefully we will do a better job updating out blog, we have said that before so we'll see. Where it all happened.
Maylee is already worried about her weight.
Kiley's family came down from Logan to see Maylee.

Okay I am really bad at keeping up this blogging thing! However I am here today per Heidi and Hollys requests at updating my blog :) haha So Steve is in school at the University of Utah studying Physical Therapy. He started in May and has almost finished his first summer semester and he loves it! I am working as a Receptionist at Alpine Medical (pediatric and ob/gyn clinic)and this weekend I am taking a class to become a class fitness instructor for aerobics, water aerobics etc! I am really excited and think it will be a lot of fun! So I know our second anniversary was a while ago but here are some pictures of what we did. We decided to go to Moab for a few days because neither of us had been there and have heard a lot of good things about it!
This is our campground! It was great because it rained at night but was sunny during the days. Our campground had a tin roof covering for our tent which worked out nicely since we didnt know how well our cheap tent would hold up in the rain.
One of the days we went hiking in the Arches, It was way cool cause these are things you see on tv and we saw them in real life! It was a lot of fun hiking all day to see some of these.
Then the next day we went Mountain Biking, I think this place was called Slickrock. It was a lot of fun, there were some scary parts where the edge of the mountain just drops but overall it was great!
It was a Very fun weekend, If you havent ever been there go! We want to go again this fall or next spring, so let us know if you all wanna plan a trip and come with!
This is our fun family trip to St. George. We went on friday, stayed in a condo, and on sat. went to zions and went hiking. Here are some pictures of our trip!

Its been forever I know Im not very good at this, Well plus there is not much going on to blog about. So Steve got into school at the U and starts in May. I quit my job at Advanced foot and Ankle and got a new job a couple days later at Alpine Medical. Its a lot of fun there, their are 3 ob/gyn's and a midwife and like 6 ped dr.'s. Its nice because its really close to where we are living, which is now in the University Student housing. It is a very small apt but I am really enjoying it so far and their are a lot of really nice people in our ward. The first pictures are of my graduation, I had to wear that stupid gown and hat thing. A little while after I finished school Steve and I went to cedar and had fun staying the weekend with Heidi, Shawn and Carson, then we went to Saint George to visit his grandparents and Dustin and his family. These are pictures of us hiking to a stupid volcano and then we walked up by the Dixie on the red rocks. Yep thats about it for now!
