We discovered that Maylee is a little bit ticklish when you give her a "zerbit". It's way cute, you need to watch this video!

Maylee's Baby Blessing
We blessed Maylee on November 7th. It was really neat. We had a lot of my family travel down from Logan and Brigham to show their support. It was cool to see my brothers in the circle helping with the blessing, it was the first time they have ever participated in a baby blessing.
After the blessing we all went over to Steve's parant's house and had some food and visited.
I know I have to say this because I am the mother, but Maylee was the cutest baby I have ever seen that day in her new cute white baby blessing dress (thanks Grandma Tehawna). Now we only need to buy her 2 more white dresses (her baptism dress and wedding dress) and she will have her "3 White Dresses".

Halloween
Halloween this year was lots of fun. We went down to Cedar City to visit Steve's brother and Maylee's cousins.
While in southern utah we made a quick visit to St. George to do some visiting and biking. It was our first time taking Maylee biking in her Chariot stroller. St. George has some of the coolest paved bike paths that run all over the city. We got on one near Steve's grandparents home and rode for about 10 miles. It was also my first real time riding my new road bike (the time I tried while 8 months pregnant doesn't count). I am assuming that since Maylee didn't cry at all the whole time that she too loves cycling, which Steve if very happy about. Steve has been dreaming about taking his baby on bike rides way before we even talked about having children and way before he even knew me.

On Halloween we just hung out at Shawn's house and geared up for a night of trick or treating. For the past week I have been working on the cutest little costume for Maylee. We were dressing her up as a "Halloween Ballerina". I picked out some fabric for a little tu-tu, cut it up and tied it to a waste band, then I made little spiders and glued them on to try to make it a little scary. I also make a little bow thing for her headband. I was pretty impressed with my work but I think Maylee probably made it look cuter that it really was.

Maylee was not very happy about this, but it is still pretty cute and funny.

Four Wheeling Fall Break
Hiking at Silver Lake
Since the weather in September was awesome we decided to go hike around Silver Lake (near brighton ski resort). It was perfect time to see the changing leaves. We had been going on daily walks with Maylee every since we brought her home and the neighborhood was getting a little boring. Maylee does pretty good on walks, she rarely cries and loves her stroller.

Where to live?
As many of you may have known we decided to move into Steve's parents basement to try to save some money since I wasn't going to work anymore. We moved there at the beginning of August. That month wasn't too bad since we were both just working and stuff and weren't there very often. After Maylee was born though it was a different story. It just wasn't the same as being on our own. We have both been living on our own for such a long time and not having your own kitchen and stuff really sucks. Plus Steve had to make sure he was always wearing clothes, and if you know him you know it was a pretty big chore. Well anyways, after 2 months of living there, moving all of out stuff either in the basement or in storage, selling all our furniture, and giving up our apt. at the University married student housing we decided to move out. The decision was made on Tuesday night, Steve called the apartments where we lived before Wednesday morning, they luckily had an opening and we were moved in on Saturday of the same week. Although we will miss our Sunday school class in Steve's parents ward, (since Steve's dad is bishop they didn't waste any time giving us a calling) having a place of your own is a pretty cool thing, even though there is no carpet and only 480 square feet with two bikes in the kitchen. We love it!
Maylee's first night home.
Maylee's first night home was a little overwhelming but also very fun. Everyone came over to see her and hold her, and her cousins were able to meet her. Since Maylee is their first cousin on the the Mathis side they were very excited. One thing that was scary other new parants can attest to was that driving away form the hospital with Maylee in that back seat felt like driving a new car off the lot. Steve was way nervous.

I don't think that Maylee remembered anything form that night, and all that mom remembered is that there was way too much excitement for a brand new baby and after being exhausted form giving birth a day earlier. But we had lots of fun showing her to everyone and were glad everyone came over to see her.
